Origin
The Betrayal
The Order was not founded, it was forged in exile. When the Galactic Order collapsed under the weight of its own corruption, a remnant force refused to scatter. Cast out, stripped of rank and recognition, they chose defiance over dissolution.
What followed was not retreat but reconstitution. The exiled commanders pooled the last of their loyalty oaths and drew a new seal in the void, the Fallen Star. A symbol not of defeat, but of descent and return.

The Codex
Where empires operate by decree, the Order operates by code. Every member carries the same obligations regardless of rank, to the mission, to the banner, and to the brother beside them.
The Codex of the Fallen Star is not a rulebook. It is a living contract between warriors, rewritten only by the High Council, and only in blood and counsel. Violations are not punished. They are judged.

The Hierarchy
The Order does not believe in flat command. Rank is earned, through operations completed, loyalty proven, and decisions made under fire. A Knight who leads earns more than a Lord who delegates.
The Banner system runs parallel to the chain of command, a second identity that speaks to a member's craft and calling. Your rank tells the Order where you stand. Your Banner tells them who you are.

The Burning of the Shattered Blade
After the AVFS Endeavor was grievously wounded by a hidden Shattered Blade asteroid fortress in Nyx, the First Fleet rallied under the AVFS Thanatos and returned in force. The fortress was stormed, a captive pilot rescued, and a Vanduul Mauler broken in open battle. Three vessels were anointed: Draugr's Curse, The Roanoke, and The Kerberos.
